- Introduce yourself!Hey guys! My name is Lizi and I have a 4 year old Belgian Malinois named puppy (very creative I know š). I got him at maybe 14-15 weeks old (the person who was gonna get him backed out), and he's been my best Buddy ever since. We hike all the time and he works with me around our livestock. We had great plans to do bite work but COVID kinda got in the way, maybe we'll get into it or another sport sometime. Anyways, we're currently working on engagement and reactivity (as he was recently attacked by another dog). I'm also looking into getting another puppy probably later this year (this plan was already in motion before he got attacked). So, we're just training as usual and working on it. At some point, I'd love to wean him off of the tools but I'm not quite sure how. Thanks for reading! I'm happy to be here and look through the content. šLike
- Introduce yourself!Hello everyone, I'm Hayley and this is my 1 year 4mth old AmStaff. (I have lots of photos of her, but not a lot of her and I so that photo is real time hahah) I've had her since she was 8 weeks old as I got her from a breeder, she is crate trained, house trained and does not have separation anxiety so I'm super proud of her and her progress. She does well with boundaries / staying in the yard. Our main concern is her behaviour when there are new people in the house, she gets very excited and it can create an uncomfortable/ awkward experience for us and our guests because she doesn't know how to settle. It also becomes difficult to be able to train the behaviour out of her when she doesn't exhibit the behaviour towards my partner and I, she jumps and nips, this isn't like a constant thing like she will have a break from it or I lure her away and then she will come right back every now and again and start all over. I am excited to learn how to help her navigate these times and to be a stronger leader for her! Please help!Like
