I’m Christie! I am currently working as a wound care registered nurse full time as well as a part time trail guide on horseback at a local ranch. My goal is to make dog training a full time job so that I can move into a trailer and travel! I love nature, coffee, books, naps, and anything chocolate.
My journey with dog training began in 2006 when I began training my Shetland Sheepdog, Pete, for shows. We had a blast doing beginner agility courses and obedience classes. Over time, I stepped away from showing but held onto my love for dogs and dog training. In 2019, I adopted my American Bulldog, Brock, from a shelter. I then realized that I was lacking the ability to train my dog on a practical, day to day level even though I had a solid foundation in basic obedience training.
It was right around the same time that I found Jerri and Tulsa Pack on social media. Her videos were so helpful to me while I learned and relearned a lot of what I already knew. I fell in love with the way that Tulsa Pack operates - everyone here is passionate about meeting each client where they are and helping them meet their personal goals with a down-to-earth, practical, and simple framework. In 2021, I adopted my French Bulldog, Nina, who is a polar opposite from Brock. I became an intern with Tulsa Pack in 2022 and I couldn’t be more excited! I learn something new every single day and I thank God for every opportunity to grow as a trainer!
I've been riding horses and trail guiding since 2010!
